Kind & Jugend takes place in Koelnmesse, the very modern area of the city dedicated entirely to trade fairs. With some 40 successful shows every year – including Kind & Jugend – Koelnmesse is one of the leading trade fair organisers.

Located on the Eastern bank of the Rhine, next to the bustling heart of the city of Cologne – or Köln as the Germans call it – Koelnmesse is within easy walking distance of the city centre. Maybe not when you’ve been on your feet all day, but the path between the two, via a railway bridge over the mighty Rhine, isn’t exactly a route march.

That said, if you really can’t face it the city of Cologne operates a regular public transit system. Here’s the best part – if you show an entrance card to Kind & Jugend, you can travel on the city’s public transport FOR FREE!
